Thank you for the compliments! The masks are actually made out of red terra cotta clay. We used a draped mold slab technique and made the mold out of recycled newspaper. For the surface decoration, we either painted the base black and used Rub N’ Buff or used an acrylic gloss medium to keep the natural red color of the clay and a bit of acrylic paint for any additional color.
